Placement Services at Yeungnam University introduces the “YU Futures League” as a group learning program starting in October 2012. The futures league is designed to help students in their efforts to get jobs just as baseball players build their skills to go to the major leagues. Originally, study groups for employment were only for seniors, but this program has been designed to train sophomores and juniors in what their duties might be if they get hired by a major corporation. 150 students will be recruited on a first reply basis and divided into 5 teams to receive job education from outside specialists. The first members will participate in the program from October 2012 to January 2013 and new students will be recruited every semester from next year. Students can apply for the program free of charge on the university homepage. Potential applicants should be aware that Placement Services at YU will prevent students from applying for other programs if they quit this program midway to promote responsibility.
