A Blended Learning System is expected to createreform in YU's education system. This system, which hasbeen established by the Center for Teaching andLearning is at the center of these reforms. A BlendedLearning System combines online educational resourceswith offline resources to enhance education quality. It willbe applied preferentially to some lectures which aretaught by professors who want to use the system. Thissystem mainly aims to capitalize on ubiquitous onlineresources and interactive offline lectures. One of twooffline lectures for a subject in a week will be substitutedfor online. NTU (Nanyang Technological University) whichadopted this system before YU ran it as two online andtwo offline lectures per subject. But the center haschanged the management system taking intoconsideration predicted student complaints on theincrease in lecture time when they adopted NTU's systemexactly. This project is being fully supported by theMinistry of Education, Science and Technology. It is thefirst example nationwide of a university changing itsoverall education system.
