I waited for Santa Claus every Christmas in my childhood and I believed Santa Claus to be a real person. I remember trying to stay up all night to wait for Santa Claus to come to my home. Whenever I failed to receive any Christmas presents, I would become disappointed and express my dissatisfaction to my parents.
However, now I know that Santa Claus is not an actual person. But although Santa Claus is not real, his existence still carries a special meaning. Santa Claus originated from St. Nicholas who did many virtuous deeds through out his life. He described Santa as having a red costume, and a sleigh pulled by reindeer, with Rudolf in the lead. While reading this story, I thought that `These days, is there not a Santa Claus?' Touching news which we read about in newspapers or hear about on TV makes me think about Santa Claus. Anyone of us can to be Santa Claus. That is to say, if we help our neighborhood, we are Santa at that moment, even though we may not have Rudolf, a beard or a red costume. I want to remind you of this fact.
