Q. What are the most important things for the students to know to get a job?
A. Lee) People say, specifications and the SamSung Aptitude Test (SSAT) are important to get a job in Samsung. But as far as I am concerned the most important thing is having a comm anding and challenging mind for interview. Don't hesitate to answer. With courage and faith you do well in the interview.
Kim) I attended lots of programs our university supported for the students. I prepared for the SSAT, and interviews in the study group to become a 'Samsung man'. During that time, I improved my ability for debate, presentation and the aptitude interview test. They helped me a lot. I suggest joining a study group, but please focus on upgrading your various abilities and talents.
Kwon) You should decide first what company you want to join. I mean you should know your aim. Secondly, I suggest doing an internship in companies. I interned for a month in the STX group. That experience helped me join Samsung and allowed them to consider picking me as a 'Samsung man'.

Q. Tell us what we should not do in the job interview. Let us know about your experience.
A. Lee) Avoid being a hypocrite. If you want to disguise yourself, that makes you feel clumsier than usual. Just be yourself and be honest.
Kim) I applied for a position as a field manager who has to spend a lot of time with field workers. An interviewer asked me "Are you good at drinking?" I answered with "I can manage 3 or 4 bottles of so-ju, sir" Of course I can't. (haha). Suddenly they applauded and said "You are qualified to be a Samsung man"

Q. Could you let us know about the atmosphere in your field and team?
A.Kwon) I work in a design team. The atmosphere is wonderful. There aren't any inflexible seniors or juniors, and the seniors always treat us like their brothers. Of course, they don't force us to drink alcohol.
Kim) Everybody seems to misunderstand about the Samsung. They think a Samsung man work all day long, but I reckon that misunderstanding comes from Samsung Electronics. Samsung Heavy Industries is somewhat different. Normally, we finish our work before 6:30 and sometimes you can leave your office at 5 o'clock if you have appointments to keep.
Lee) I couldn't manage to drink more than 3 shots of so-ju before joining Samsung, but now I can manage 3 bottles. Drinking is also a chance to excercise a teamwork. While spending time with my workers and colleagues, I can strengthen our relationships. That improves the effectiveness of group work. Moreover, I can speak all eight provincial dialects well because of such gatherings.
