This April 15th will mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Many world-wide memorial events are being planned to commemorate the event. In 1912, the Titanic collided with a large iceberg, which led to more than 1,500 deaths. In the USA 5,500 salvaged relics such as porcelain dishes, and broken pieces from the sunken ship will be auctioned off. Moreover, a special documentary program on the “History channel” on the Titanic will air for 2 hours. A tour company in England has planned a “Celebrating the Titanic Cruise” program. Besides that, a 3D version of the movie “Titanic” will be released world-wide. These events will help us all to remember those who lost their lives in this historic tragedy.
