Jin -Hee Jun (Public Administration, Junior )
Dear Hyo-Soo Lee, the New President of YU,
Last winter I heard you became the new president of Yeungnam University. Although I did not know much about you, as a Yeungnam University student I would like to ask you for several things.
First of all, I hope you make Yeungnam University a leading University. Part of creating a global standard is graduating students who will be able to face a diverse world. I hope that more and more Yeungnam University students can go into the world and become capable global citizens. I want your support and the support of all interested parties.
Secondly, I believe it is necessary to have programs at YU that are a little less formal. Currently there are many programs geared toward finding employment and improving English skills as well as great variety in research sciences, but these programs do not benefit enough people.
There are many students at YU, more than 20 thousand. I hope that more students will be able to enjoy the influence of your administration on the way to achieving our goals.
Finally, I hope you give us more of a say in the direction YU will take in the future. We are all part of the Yeungnam University community. We may lack in experience, but we can provide fresh perspectives on many issues. This will have the added benefit of making students feel more invested in the university now and in the future.
I think the most important thing is your constant concern, affection, and diligence concerning Yeungnam University and its students.
During your term, we hope you will be able to supply the inspiration and leadership to bring about growth and development.
