New Scholarship System Take Effect at YU

The proposed scholarship system will be applied after the second semester of 2014. The existing scholarship program provided more than 50% of tuition to those who held the first place at their grade in their major. However, the new scholarship will cover the full tuition. Also, YU will review the financial situations of each major to increase the number of students who can receive scholarships which could be awarded to all students regardless of their year of study. However, the scholarship amount given to students who obtain the highest scores may result in financial fluctuation if the department has less than 40 students in each grade. The YU Scholarships Team said that they hope that students recognize the new changes to the scholarship program and that they serve as a motivation for students to get better grades.
