YU Foreign Language Institute runs a foreign language counseling room for students. This program began formally this semester. Sang-su Kim, a researcher at the Foreign Language Institute, consults students from March 26th to July 11th, for 10 weeks. After a 5 minutes level test, he can grasp the students’ foreign language ability. Then he consults with them about how to learn foreign languages well and to deal with the difficulties that occur when students prepare to take authorized test such as the TOEIC test. Also, they can receive help on how to prepare to go abroad and study. The researcher said he would continue this language study mentoring through students caring card. It’s also worth noting that all YU students can receive help through the Foreign Language Institute’s English Help Desk located in the Global lounge from 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m every week day.
