In October of this year, midnight broadcasting begins on regular TV broadcasting. KCC (The Korea Communications Commissions) decided to allow broadcasters to self-regulate regarding broadcast cut-off times. From October, KBS 1TV offers 24 hour programming. MBC will broadcast for 21 hours a day from November, KBS 2TV will also offer 21 hours, and after December, SBS will broadcast for 21 hours a day as well. KCC has suggested that each broadcasting company broadcast reruns for no more than 40% of that time, and R rated content for less than 20%. Information about programming will be given to viewers beforehand if broadcasting changed are made to lessen confusion.
