With a New Chocolate

"Life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." The lines mentioned above are a portion in the script of the movie, Forrest Gump. The meaning is that for all of us, there are many chocolates in the life's box. Our destiny can be changed through the choices we make as if the taste of each chocolate was like every different choice we make.

I selected The Yeungnam Observer out of many choices during last three years, and have done my best up to now. I have been published in the twenty-one issues for my part, and have moved up the ranks from reporter trainee to editor-in-chief. I have done my best but sometimes, I fell that it leaves something to be desired.

Now there is a dim panorama of my memories. There are also events that took place from the time I was reporter trainee up to the time I became editor-in-chief. When I was a reporter trainee, I didn't know anything about The Yeungnam Observer. However as time passed I wrote my articles with passions, and eventually I became the editor-in-chief. Working in this position, I learned many things about people and organizations.

Many years from now, I may look back on three days as the most rewarding of my live. But they won't JUST to be simply a pleasant memory for me, as the membership training in faculty was. My life has been well worth living for the last three years and I'm sure what I have achieved will have an effect on the next thirty. When I think of the last three years at university, I feel that it was certainly a beautiful period when I worked hard for The Yeungnam Observer. And I'm leaving with a new chocolate, one of them is in the box, but it is not the end, it is a new beginning, and nobody knows where it will lead.
