[News in Brief]A Memorial Hall to Be Constructed

An open competition for the design of a memorial hall for the sixtieth anniversary of the university foundation closed on 21 August. Among 24 works submitted for the competition, six works were selected through a comprehensive examination of architectural and environmental aspects. The selected works are exhibited on the first floor in the Central Library.
According to the university authority, the winner will be announced in the middle of October and its construction will start at the beginning of 2007. The memorial hall is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
