Near Banwoldang Station, there is Bongsan Cultural Street, one of the popular places for Daegu culture and art. There initially were several galleries. After being selected as the ‘Gallery Alley’ in 1991, it has gradually developed into a cultural and artistic street. On October 5, 2004, the Bongsan Cultural Center was built to provide various cultural and artistic exhibits and performances.

The Center offers various plays and musical performances, as well as exhibitions and cultural lectures every year. However, all performances from March to July were canceled as the alert level of COVID-19 was raised in February. Then on August 8, face-to-face performances resumed, starting with Bong For You Vol.1 which was the first performance of a five-series performance. As the alert was raised to the second level again, Bong For You Vol.2 and the play The Story of Old Couples was conducted through online streaming on YouTube and Facebook.

On September 11, the second temporary closure was reopened. As the alert was reduced to level one, they were limited to 42 percent of the audience, and the seats were arranged, observing social distancing. This year, there will be performances of the Bong For You series, Bukseong-ro Two-Story House and Action drama SimCheong and more. However, if COVID-19 worsen again, performances will be conducted online again.

From now, let us enjoy all the performances in Bongsan Cultural Center following the quarantine rules.
