Congratulations on Your Admission!
This year’s entrance ceremony was held on February 25 at the Yeungnam University. Each college had an individual entrance ceremony. In celebration of the professors and the undergraduate students, a total of 4,876 freshmen were admitted.
After the scholarship were given to the student representatives, the president, Sur Gil-soo, delivered a congratulatory address. The president asked freshmen to improve their capabilities at Yeungnam University.
Most freshmen were filled with anticipation to be university students. Of course, some of them seemed nervous or worried about a new start. The Observer interviewed the freshmen on how they felt about entering university and what they want to achieve during university. Ha Jin-woo(Department of Business Administration) said “I don’t realize yet that I’ve been admitted to university. It feels like entering a middle school or high school.” Moon Se-ah(Department of European Language & Culture) displayed passion for her studies. She said, “I’m so excited. I’d like to have a good college life. I really want to get a scholarship for people who achieve excellent academic performance.” Lee Jun-huk(Department of European Language & Culture) said, “I’m already worried about commuting to school. Also, I want to have a romantic relationship with a fellow YU student.”
Once the entrance ceremonies had ended, each department participated in an event to learn about all university systems.
