Lee Yong-rok, professor of chemical engineering has come up with a fantastic result. 3 recent theses are selected as cover thesis of international famous academic science journal continuously. ‘Construction of Multifunctionalized Azopyrazoles by Silver Catalyzed Cascade Reaction of Diazo Compounds’ published by Lee Yong-Rok was selected front cover and VIP thesis of August issue of <Advanced Synthesis&Catalysis> which has international authority at field of applied chemistry.
Also in May, ‘Biosynthesis of Fe, Pd, and Fe-Pd bimetallic nanoparticles and their application as recyclable catalysts for [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction: a comparative approach’ thesis was selected as back cover thesis of <Catalysis Science> and <Technology and Chemical Communications> which are international science journal. Professor Lee Yong-rok develops new organic reaction techniques with many types of catalysts which were not reported before.
This technique is estimated as suggesting easy and simple way to compose biological activity and functional compound. Professor Lee said “Synthesis method which I developed is using catalyst which is easy to buy. It is not only safe to use but also environmental friendly and economical, so it will contribute national industry and economic development which can be used at detailed chemistry production like new medical, Electron material, dye or perfume."
