A mock TOEIC test for organizing the classes of Practical English was taken in February. Any freshman was eligible to take the test. Unlike previous years, after analyzing score of the test YU let students earn and got exempt from the class. Students who were recognized for their ability could earn 3 credits of Practical English and also take another course instead. Therefore they could get 3 credits more than other freshmen who didn’t pass the test. YU said this is to help freshmen who aced the test by letting them take lessons that they wanted to take and then strive to plan their careers and improve them.
