The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the introduction of plans to use the Duales System which is a work based learning system on September 11th, 2013. In this program trainees will learn about theory in school once or twice a week and practical skills for 3 or 4 days at a company. The target for this program is seniors in high school and university students at all levels. The government is planning to single out 50 enterprises this year and the first trainees this December. If the trainees receive an education that is related to specific industries and pass a certification course, based on the level and duration of their participation in the program, they can also be awarded a high school diploma or a university degree. It is expected that trainees will be able to get jobs quickly and that the employment rate for young people can improve. Through this program companies can help shape the kind of employees they want to hire, and also eliminate unnecessary certifications and training processes.
