Above all, the lectures that I currently take are for my major and cultural subject classes. Because we are freshman, we need a firm basis and opportunity to be interested in our courses. Practical courses give us essential utility. Cultural subjects give us opportunities to study diverse fields that we usually want to study outside of our major. We make use of cultural subjects to supplement our major studies and store up general knowledge. Most of the professors are passionate. That passion connects our lectures and we can gain satisfaction from what we are learning. The lectures not only give us satisfaction and assistance, they also help us stay motivated and lead us to want to gain a deeper understanding of the subjects.
I like when lectures have a lively atmosphere. All class members participate in the lectures and become more active. Most of the students feel bored just taking notes. We want to gain firsthand knowledge. For example, we can learn more from substantial materials and practical assignments. In my opinion, if there are too many students in a class, some students can get lost and not get the attention they need. It is not easy to find the exact balance in a classroom that will provide the optimal atmosphere, but I think we should strive to find it in every class.
