Students can now visit the Foreign Language Zone at the College of Business & Economics in addition to the Foreign Language Zone at the Foreign Language Institute. This Zone held its opening ceremony on September 26, 2012 and it will provide various services beginning this October. In addition, YU’s College of Business & Economics will exchange research biweekly with 13 universities in 9 different countries. Foreign and exchange students will also make presentations to introduce their countries, and YU students who study abroad every year will receive a briefing session there. Moreover, special lectures by Korean and foreign professors, an English presentation competition, and a bazaar to benefit foreign students with financial needs will be conducted there. The university hopes that this additional Foreign Language Zone will improve the English abilities of all students, especially Business & Economics majors, and provide a new forum for cultural exchange between local and foreign students.
