Classroom Shortages: A Chronic Problem Finally Gets Solved

The College of Engineering, the College of Commerceand Economics, and the College of Education havestarted to get ready for extension and remodeling. Thesecolleges completed the selection process for companiesto draw blue prints at the end of September. Nowconstruction is planned to begin in June of next year andcompleted in February the year after next. The College ofEducation intends to relocate laboratories and practicalrooms for Early Childhood Education and SpecialPhysical Education to their main building. And theCollege of Engineering will try to allocate more space forgeneral educations of the college's freshmen andComputer Engineering, Electronic Engineering,Information and Communication Engineering's studentswho have been most effected by classroom shortages.These colleges hope that the extensions and remodelingwill solve the shortage of classrooms and reduce theneed for students to walk long distances to get fromclass to class. The College of Commerce and Economicshas also made a plan for efficient space conditions byrearranging some small lectures which formerly usedbig lecture rooms. Additional laboratories for professorsand some seminar rooms will also be constructed.04 |
