YU will train bilingual professors based on a commission from the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education at the Center for Counseling and Research of Korean Language this year. This program will give priority to parents of multicultural families who support bilingual education, have a university diploma or higher academic achievement and are proficient in Korean with children who attend elementary and middle school. Out of all the applicants, there will be thirty who will be eligible to take lessons on Saturdays from September 11th this year to January 22nd of next year. In schools in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do with multicultural students, these people will receive a series of lessons that teach native language, and Korean teachers can acquire qualifications as contract workers to students who apply after school. It is hoped that programs like this will help to solve the difficulties in education and guidance experienced by multicultural students.
