Joong-Geun Ahn is often only remembered as the leader of the national independence movement who shot Itou Hirobumi. However, he also established schools, led the National Debt Repayment Movement, was an enlightened educational activist, a pacifist, an artist, and a deeply religious man. This year marks the 100th anniversary of his death, so the Daegu National Museum is presenting "Special Exhibition " from the 23rd of February to the 25th of April to celebrate this extraordinary historical figure and present his ideas on oriental philosophy, his independent mind, and his ties with Daegu. This exhibition includes things he wrote before he died, photos, a diary, letters, and so on. 1,000 people visited this exhibition during the first week that it was open to feel his spirit. If you go to this exhibition you might feel what these people have already experienced.
