Google, the largest search engine in the world, suffered from a backlash in Europe on the heels of a conflict with China. On January 12th, Google collided with the Chinese government over restrictions. The Chinese government refutes the position of Google, and expressed inconvenience over the violations of intellectual property rights and the spread of false information. On February 2nd, The New York Times reported that Google came into conflict with the European parliament and regulators, and it is a more serious situation than the one with China. This trouble has been widespread throughout Western Europe. The most serious problem stems from the invasion of privacy. Europe is thinking about issuing a lawsuit. Italy has already prosecuted 4 officers from Google for inserting a video showing the torment of an autistic boy. Each EU member presented a response to Google. The Swiss introduced a bill, this law states that a search engine company is responsible for reporting privacy and copyright infringements.
