I came to Korea last February, so I have been here for a year. I'm really very glad to have a chance to live and study in Korea, a country with a very fast developing economy, a country with the fastest internet connection in the world, and a country with very tall buildings in cities and lovely apartments in suburbs. I'm studying Human Resource Management at Yeungnam University, a subject related to organizing employees and it is not so difficult to study.
Oh, by the way I'm on vacation, my first vacation in Korea. It's great spending my vacation time learning more about the culture, language and legal system in Korea. My vacation started last year in December. It was boring at the beginning because I was more interested in speaking to my classmates than spending my days in the central library. Then I realized how interesting and exciting it might be to go sightseeing. My first destination was Busan, the biggest port city and the second biggest city in Korea. I asked a friend of mine to drive me to Busan and he agreed. Wow!!! Yes, exactly WOW!!! It's an AWESOME city. Very beautiful, even in the middle of winter, but unfortunately there was no snow. Anyway, it is an exciting city with scenic beaches and Gwangan Bridge is huge. The ferry is beyond description. Even though it was windy and cold I could not resist feeding gulls flying around the drifting ferry. I was really excited, happy, and exhausted. After that day I decided to get a driver's license and rent a car in order to go here and there as well as to go to Busan one more time. I know there are cheaper ways to travel, but you can not easily go wherever you want and do whatever you want without a car. So on the 6th of February I received my Driver's license and I am waiting for April to come. I'll obviously visit Busan one more time.
After Busan my vacation continued. Today I'm studying Korean language, but I am still having some difficulties. It's a challenge to study Korean for me, but I'm doing my best. I'm looking forward to the future when I can speak Korean well, that's my wish and it will continue to be for the next two years. So that's my story. I want to say I like you all very much. Sorry for not writing about all the events I experienced, but it would have taken up too much space and your precious time to read. Just joking. Cheer up!
