The"Handicapped teenager rehabilitation experience camp" and the"Handicapped teenager rehabilitation the sea sports experience camp" were held at Yeungnam University. The  former was starting July 23th and ending August 13th, the latter was August 18th, 19th. This camp opened under the support of Yeungnam University(YU). The campers are forty students of the Special Physical Education Program at YU, participants consist of ten, five medical services and sixty handicapped teenagers in Daegu Kwangmyung school, Sangrokwon .
Actually in recent years society has changed some of its views about handicapped people but prejudice remains about them today. So Park Gi-young who is a professor in the Special Physical Education Department said, that the purpose of the camps was to remove prejudice about handicapped people and to improve community relations.
The program gives handicapped teenagers the opportunity to directly stay in International Building at YU. At this time the camp program has accorded preferential preparation over the existing program. The program contents are fundamentally headed by doing health check-ups and sport massage. Handicapped students can also participate in sports dance, yoga, golf, self-defence etc.
More remarkable is the"Handicapped teenager rehabilitation the sea sports experience camp". The program is held in summer, in order to teach wind surfing to handicapped teenagers. From August 18th until August 19th the "Handicapped teenager rehabilitation the sea sports experience camp" is held. This camp is meant to help the handicapped to gain confidence and to bring about interests. The campers go Keung-Nam San-Chung County Keung-Ho river at 18th, and enjoy wind surfing with volunteers. A lot like the camp operated last winter. Last winter skiing was taught.
One of the students who took part in this camp. Kim Jong muk, who is a first grade student in the Special Physical Education Program. He said "I felt this camp was really worth coming to. When I helped handicapped people, I saw their smile. At that moment, I felt like I was one with them. I had no difficulty because I have an open mind about others. And also I felt pleasure by  assisting them when they couldn't do something."
This camp is a great chance for both the campers and the handicapped people. I hope through such a camp, we abandon prejudice about handicapped people and become one with them. I wish for a great program like this to continue in the future.
