One day, I picked up the 285th issue of The Yeungnam Observer and read the article titled "Ultimate Resolution to Dokdo" by Jung Ho-hyung. The article provoked me to raise some questions and to write this letter. I would like to ask the letter writer; "Chechen's calling for independence is illegal?" . . . As Russian citizens, my friends and I were exasperated by the quoted words! First of all, it wasn't war for independence but against terrorists, who intimidated peaceable inhabitants. Terrorists, as a matter of fast, don't have nationality. It is insignificant were they Chechens or others. Secondly, the absolute majority of Chechen people have always agreed to be a part of Russian Federation. A citation made above has been written in context which prejudices the validity of Chechen Republic to be a part of Russian Federation. That is unacceptable and contradictory to the Russian constitution. As a result, I am shocked and offended. . . .

Best regards.
