On 4 September 2006, Professor Lee Jong-wang (Chairman, Dept. of Philosophy) opened a new 'Academy of Philosophy' at the School of Lifetime Education. It is for the first that a local university provides the public with philosophical lectures. The Academy is designed to help ordinary citizens improve logic and critical thinking. The courses offered by the Academy will be 'Funny Oriental Philosophy Stories', 'Phenomenal Ethics', 'Teaching Discourse' and 'Modern Culture and Phenomenon'. Philosophy professors are confident that the Academy will provide impressive and interesting lectures for the laymen.
